Mongol:Part One- First movie in a Trilogy about the rise and fall of the Mongol hordes. This first one is pretty much about Ghengis Khan wrecking shop and is filmed on location in Mongolia and Kazakhstan. It was released a while ago and amazingly has not received that much press, considering it looks totally fucking badass. Watch the Russian trailer if you don't believe me. Or a Clip of the film.
Tokyo Gore Police- I think this is pretty self-explanatory. Check out the hilariously violent trailer.
Frontier(s)- Think of a more violent and more French version of Hostel. As is typical for this genre, it involves cannibal rednecks. I don't think it will be as awesome as Haute Tension, but the website is certainly violent enough.
The Unknown Woman- A violent Italian melodrama featuring the standards of excess from the land of Prada and Cannolis: violent misogyny, violent fem-heroine, sexual intrigue, Ukrainian hookers. Check out this nice summary at Salon.
