Brawndo, the fictional power drink from the Mike Judge film Idiocracy, has made the jump to reality. The New York Times reports that last November Redux Beverages (in cooperation with graphic designer and Idiocracy fan Pete Hottelet) began selling the thirst mutilating drink online. To date, there have been over 10,000 cases of the beverage sold and the company plans to continue producing the drink. For those of you who don't know, the film stars Luke Wilson as an average soldier in the U.S. Army who is cryogenically frozen and wakes up in a dystopian future where cultural laziness has caused humans to evolve into idiots. A cult classic already, it was not widely released but has been steadily gaining a fan base through word of mouth and the internet. Below is a clip of the drink in the film.
